Sindu has been a commissioned artist since 2017 working in traditional (acrylic, ink) and digital (procreate, illustrator, photoshop) media to produce paintings, illustrations, comic short stories, tattoo designs and logos for clients.
In her personal work she explores her identity as a Tamil woman through a feminist lens, creating visual interpretations of various topics including Tamil collective memory and the impact of violence, genocide, patriarchal systems and the militarised state on her community. She approaches her work with the goal of striking a personal harmony between her identity, her politics and her culture. Please visit her on instagram (@murukku) to find more of her personal work.
