Canadian Notes & Queries Magazine includes a two-page comics feature in each issue wherein an artist adapts a scene from a Canadian literature novel. For the 2022 Spring/Summer issue, I was selected by the editor to contribute my own 2-page adaptation.
I selected a pivotal yet brief scene in Shyam Selvadurai’s Cinnamon Gardens that occurs between former lovers Bala and Richard, and their first meeting 20 years after their secret love affair ended.
